*Michelle Madsen - Treasurer
*Meghan Massaro - V.P. Public Relations
As the Vice President of Public Relations, I take pride in being able to brag
about the lovely ladies of Pi Chapter. My role has many facets, which include
but are not limited to, putting Ad's in the Daily Nebraskan about ladies
accomplishments, and putting up posters and flyers to help promote our
outstanding philanthropies. Not only do I get to work on campus with this
position, but also get to work in the Lincoln community. This way I am able to
show how great Kappa Delta, and the ladies in Pi Chapter really are.
*Katie Shanahan - V.P. Membership
As VP of Membership I am in charge of planning Formal Recruitment in the fall for all
the potential new members. While most of my duty is consumed by planning for fall
recruitment there are still other aspects to the house that I contribute to. The major
one is our sisterhood, our sisterhood chair and I set up some great sisterhood
events for the entire semester so we can get to know each other even better and
strengthen our connection as a chapter. Overall I do my best at recruiting the best
girls to our sisterhood so we can continue on our strong bond as Kappa Delta
sisters.
*Logan Derry - Secretary
I am Kappa Delta's secretary. I keep up with our correspondence as well as
coordinate our reports to our National headquarters. I also record minutes at all of
our chapter meetings to make sure we have a record of all the information that is
shared so that everyone is in the loop! As a member of Council, I serve as a leader to
the chapter and I am privileged to work with an exceptional group of women.
*Tayler Thomas - President
As the President of Kappa Delta I serve the chapter as a whole. I lead our chapter council and conduct our
weekly chapter meetings. I am the go-to person in Kappa Delta and am there to help serve my sisters in their
every needs. While focusing on our chapter, I also work with national advisers to keep our chapter the best
across the country. I am here to lead my sisters in any was possible and make sure that our chapter succeeds in
our excellent goals. I am truly honored to be able to work with every member of KD and to be chosen to lead our
truly unique sisterhood.
*Jessica Campbell - V.P. New Member Education
As member educator for Kappa Delta I am here to help our members (new and old) strive in our 5 areas of
Chapter Excellence in order to become better women. Our 5 areas of Chapter Excellence are membership,
leadership, philanthropy, social success, and academics. New members also go through the New Member
Education Program. This program is designed to teach the new members about Kappa Delta Sorority and is
also here to assist the girls with things such as transitioning to college life, finding ways to get involved,
and learning appropriate study habits.
*Stephanie Frederick - V.P. Operations
As VP-Operations, it is my job to oversee the chapter and its members’ goal-setting for chapter excellence,
and motivate and assess the chapter’s progress toward achieving those goals. The five areas of chapter
excellence include academic success, social success, philanthropy, leadership, and membership. Each of these
areas is important to us because it holds us to high standards to be nothing but the best.
*Bailey Armstrong - V.P. Community Service
My name is Bailey Armstrong and I am proud to represent Kappa Delta at UNL as the Vice President of
Community Service. My position oversees every faction of Pi Chapter's philanthropic endeavors, both campus-
and community-based. Along with teams of capable members, and Pi Chapter as a whole, I organize both of
our philanthropies held each semester, oversee the organization of campus events (such as Relay for Life, the Big
Event, Dance Marathon, etc.), and organize events located in the Lincoln community!
*Julie Feldman - V.P. Standards
As Vice President of Standards I oversee that all of our members uphold our high standards. I have the
wonderful opportunity to oversee both our academic program and our social program. For academics I work
with our academic excellence chair and provide academic support for our members. We plan study jams located
in laid-back coffee shops around Lincoln, give out "Smarty-Pants" awards for girls who have done well on
tests or projects in their classes, and promote UNL's top professors with a Professor of the Month award. For
KD's social program I work along side two devoted social chairs who plan fun socials with the
fraternities on campus. We aim to do a variety of activities, everything from room-sized twister to intense
volleyball games. KD's can also look forward to a number of themed dances, such as a
country-club themed dance, as well as spring and fall formal. Throughout the social and academic areas of Pi
chapter you will be sure to find classy and fabulous KDs.
*Lizzie Mattern - Panhellenic Representative
As Panhellenic Representative, I serve as the middle-man between the Executive Panhellenic that oversees all of
the sororities and our chapter in particular. Obviously, this is important to keep our house in the loop as to what
is going on in the Greek system and among other houses. I also oversee the Spirit Chairs and do my best to make
sure they have what they need to make Homecoming and Greek Week successful! I think this office is essential
because if we aren’t kept up to date on what is going on with other houses and on our campus, how can we
ensure that we’re doing the best that we can?
